Spring 2025 Season Info

Santa Fe Soccer Alliance is an independent volunteer organization that works with the City of Alachua Recreation Department to promote and teach the sport of soccer. We support the concepts of good sportsmanship and respect, working with children born between 2007 and 2019. Age groups will now be determined by birth year. SFSA consists of 3 different soccer programs: Recreation (Alachua Soccer League), Academy, and Competitive.

RECREATION- Alachua Soccer League is a COED recreational soccer program for players born in 2007-2019. ASL is becoming one of the largest and fastest-growing youth co-ed recreational soccer programs in the area! As part of our commitment to the players and the community, all games will be played in Alachua this season where we have adopted a structure of smaller teams, more games, increased playtime, age-appropriate field dimensions, and rules designed to enhance growth and skill-building and most of all...have fun! Kids of any soccer experience can participate on a team. Our hope for each player is they not only grow as a person, but also develop a passion for the game.
Practices will begin the first week of March and games begin TBD. Games will be scheduled on Tuesdays and Thursdays in the evenings, and Saturdays in the morning. The last game will be TBD. Each team will be guaranteed 8 to10 games!!
The last day to register is February 28th. Registration for the Spring season will not be accepted after February 28th. Once registration ends, teams and coaches will be assigned and schedules will be distributed. Our league is dependent on parents who volunteer their time as coaches. They take an hour one or two evenings out of their week to work with our amazing youth. In return, coaches kids are sponsored by the league and the coaches will be provided all the necessary equipment and support to ensure a great experience. If you would like more information on how you can help volunteer, please contact us or note this form and we will contact you.

ACADEMY- Players born 2012-2017 who are looking for more of a challenge and who want to develop, are invited to try out for our Academy program. Our best senior coaches oversee the training for the Academy. Academy consists of all girls and all boys teams for our U11-13 divisions. Open tryouts for each age division are TBD and by invite only, To learn more, visit SantaFeSoccerAlliance.com.

COMPETITIVE- These are the players individually selected from our Academy to compete and represent SFSA throughout the state.

PARENT CODE OF CONDUCT: All parents associated with the SFSA are invited to share in the pleasure of watching their children participate in the world’s most popular sport, so long as their behavior does not distract the players and officials from the free flow of play. We pride ourselves on having respectful and engaged families, and we ask that parents and guardians continue to adhere to these guidelines.
A parent or guardian must:
Never use foul language or obscene gestures at a game or practice site.
Avoid comments and gestures that express disagreement with referee decisions.
Never enter the playing surface without the consent of the coaches or referees.
Cooperate with any request by the game officials.
Never consume alcoholic beverages on the field location at practices or games.
A parent or guardian understands that:
Any parent or spectator who fails to adhere to these standards will be required to leave the playing area, and play will be suspended until he or she does so. The associated player will be responsible for his/her guest’s misconduct and will be obligated to serve their penalty. A red card will result in a 1 game suspension. A Second red card result is a habitual offense and will see the player dismissed from his/her team for the remainder of the season with no refunds of player fees in such cases.
Parents or guardians are responsible for their guests’ behavior and must inform their guests of the applicable rules of conduct.
Any breaches of this Code of Conduct can result in your child’s suspension and a member’s removal from SFSA soccer
without refund of participation fees.
