Fall 2025 Season Info

Santa Fe Soccer Alliance (SFSA) is an independent volunteer organization that works with the City of Alachua Recreation Department to promote and teach the sport of soccer. We support the concepts of good sportsmanship and respect, working with children born between 2010 and 2020. Age groups will continue to be determined by birth year. SFSA consists of 2 different soccer programs: Recreation and Academy.

RECREATION- Alachua Soccer League is a COED recreational soccer program for players born between calendar years 2010-2020. It is becoming one of the largest and fastest-growing youth coed recreational soccer programs in the area! As part of our commitment to the players and the community, all games will be played in Alachua this season where we have adopted a structure of smaller teams, more games, increased playtime, age-appropriate field dimensions, and rules designed to enhance growth and skill-building and most of all...have fun! There is the possibility of a game at Jonesville Park but that is still a work in progress. Kids of any soccer experience can participate on a team. Our hope for each player is they not only grow as a person, but also develop a passion for the game.
Practices will begin the third week of August and games begin September 6th. Games will be scheduled on Saturdays. The championship game will be November 15th. Each team will play 8 games during the regular season!!
The last day to register is August 17th, 2025. Registration for the Fall 2025 season will not be accepted after August 17th due to uniforms being ordered. After registration ends, and mass practices are held, teams will be assigned and schedules will be distributed. Our league is dependent on parents who volunteer their time as coaches. Coaches generally practice twice a week for an hour each and then games on Saturday. and work with our amazing youth. In return, the volunteer head coach for each team is  sponsored by the league and the coaches will be provided equipment such as soccer balls, cones, and pinnies, and support to ensure a great experience. Please note that this season and going forward volunteer coaches are required to complete the SafeSport(TM) certification online. If you would like more information on how you can help volunteer, please contact us or note this form and we will contact you.

ACADEMY - Players born 2011 thru 2018 who are looking for more of a challenge and who want to develop, are invited to try out for our Academy program. Our best senior coaches oversee the training for the Academy. Open tryouts are currently scheduled for August 7th and 8th at the High Springs Civic Center Fields, and August 12th at Legacy Park Recreation Complex Soccer Fields. The youngest age groups - birth years 2018, 2017, 2016, 2015 - will be from 6pm to 7pm and the older age groups - birth years 2014, 2013, 2012, 2011 - will be 7pm to 8pm. Please do not register your child for recreation if they plan to tryout for academy. To learn more, visit SantaFeSoccerAlliance.com.

PARENT AND PLAYER CODE OF CONDUCT: All parents associated with the SFSA are invited to share in the pleasure of watching their children participate in the world’s most popular sport, so long as their behavior does not distract the players, coaches, or officials from the free flow of play during practices or games. We pride ourselves on having respectful and engaged families, and we ask that parents and guardians continue to adhere to these guidelines.
A player, parent or guardian, or guest must:

  • Never use foul language or obscene gestures during a game or practice nor while on site.

  • Avoid comments and gestures that express disagreement with coaching or referee decisions during practices or games.

  • Never enter the playing surface or player sideline without the consent of the coaches or referees.

  • Cooperate with any request by the coaches or game officials.

  • Never consume alcoholic beverages on the field location at practices or games.

  • Never smoke or vape on the field location at practices or games.

A parent or guardian understands that:

  • Any player, parent, or guest who fails to adhere to these standards will be required to leave the playing area, and play will be suspended until he or she does so.

  • The associated player may be obligated to serve the penalty as the result of misconduct by those associated with that player.

  • At the sole discretion of SFSA, misconduct by a player or player's guardian(s) or guest(s) may result in the individuals suspension from attending practice(s) and/or game(s).

  • At the sole discretion of SFSA, misconduct by a player or player's guardian or guest, especially if a habitual offense, may result in the player being dismissed from his/her team for the remainder of the season with no refunds of player fees in such cases.

  • Parents or guardians are responsible for their guests’ behavior and must inform their guests of the applicable rules of conduct.

  • Any breaches of this Code of Conduct can result in your child’s suspension and a member’s removal from SFSA soccer without refund of participation fees.
